Job Purpose

The Sales Representative is responsible for generating revenue by identifying new business opportunities, converting prospects into customers, and managing the sales process from initial contact through to successful completion. The role serves as a key point of contact between the company and its customers, ensuring a professional experience while promoting the company's products and services.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Sales and Business Development

  • Achieve and exceed weekly and monthly sales targets set by management.
  • Generate new business opportunities through prospecting activities, including visits to construction sites and engagement with developers, architects, engineers, contractors, and property owners.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and showroom visits for prospective clients.
  • Present products professionally and provide accurate product information.
  • Negotiate and close sales while maintaining company standards and policies.
  • Convert approved sales into invoices and support customers throughout the payment and installation process.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to expand the customer base.
  • Conduct product presentations and respond to customer inquiries promptly.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and agreements in accordance with company guidelines.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
  • Encourage repeat business and customer referrals through excellent service.
  • Maintain an accurate client database, including contact information, project details, and follow-up schedules.
  • Address customer concerns and escalate installation or technical issues to the appropriate departments.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and smooth project execution.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Commerce, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of proven sales experience, preferably in construction, building materials, real estate, or a related industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve or exceed sales targets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Swahili.
  • Willingness and ability to quickly learn and understand the company's full product range.
  • Professional appearance and conduct suitable for a client-facing role.
  • Computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and WhatsApp Business.
  • A valid driving licence will be an added advantage.
