Job Description
The purpose of a Sales Engineer is to drive revenue growth by identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities through a combination of technical expertise and sales acumen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to drive growth in the utilities and rural electrification sector.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with TANESCO, REA, Main contractors and key stakeholders.
- Identify, pursue, and win donor-funded and government tenders in alignment with company objectives.
- Provide technical support and solutions to clients, ensuring proposals meet their requirements.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of products and solutions.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and identify new business opportunities.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations and reports to clients and management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards in all sales activities.
- Prepare and deliver technical proposals and presentations tailored to client needs.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure feasibility and timely delivery of proposed solutions.
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends, competitor activities, and potential areas for growth.
- Lead the end-to-end bid and tender processes, ensuring compliance with technical and commercial requirements.
- Support management in developing sales strategies to achieve revenue targets in the telecom sector.
- Provide information for the risk review process in accordance to engineering proposals that meet customer's technical requirements
- Managing and interpreting customer requirements
- Meets Sales targets for the assigned market(s) through our partners and in accordance with the overall policies and objectives.
- Provides product, service, or equipment technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests
- Collect documentation regarding the offer/ order and records.
- Contribute to the development of new market opportunities supporting managers/ sales team.
- Manage and collaborate with front end sales team
- Analyze and evaluate specific technical issues and associated risks.
- Develop various sales reports and sales activity reports
- Provide technical support to Sales Managers.
- Any other duty assigned by your supervisor.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Years of experience: 4 Years
- Academic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or any other related fields
- Language proficiency: English & Swahili
- Computer skills: Microsoft Office
