DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To provide advice in developing and implementing the Information Communication Technology (ICT) Strategy in order to facilitate the design and development of the Institute's monitoring and management information systems.
• To perform systems analysis, design, and coding.
• To advise on the suitability of existing and future ICT hardware and software.
• To assist in designing, coding, and implementing proper security controls to ensure the security and integrity of data and systems.
• To provide inputs in designing and maintaining procedures, rules, and regulations for the development and application of ICT across various platforms (web, mobile, desktop).
• To assist in developing and maintaining an in-house database and other programs to ensure safe custody of data and information.
• To perform installation and configuration of application servers.
• To participate in conducting programming activities in various languages, Front-end GUI design, system testing, and system configurations.
• To debug software, conduct user acceptance tests, code reviews, and risk assessments.
• To assist in designing and developing various reports from databases as per users' requirements.
• To provide inputs on computer training needs for the Institute.
• To provide inputs in preparation of unit performance reports.
• To undertake any other duties as assigned by the superiors.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information System and Network Engineering or equivalent from a recognized Institution Knowledge of one or more programming languages, such as Java, JavaScript, Python, and is an added advantage.
