Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Frontend Developer located in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The Frontend Developer will be responsible for designing and developing web applications using front-end technologies. The Frontend Developer will collaborate with the team to ensure a seamless user experience across different devices and platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Develop visually stunning and user-friendly websites using WordPress, Joomla, and other content management systems (CMS).
• Collaborate with the design team to implement engaging and responsive website layouts.
• Customize themes and templates to meet client requirements and brand guidelines.
• Optimize websites for speed, performance, and SEO best practices.
• Integrate third-party plugins and extensions to enhance website functionality.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsiveness across various devices.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues to maintain website integrity and functionality.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve skills and techniques.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in WordPress, Joomla, and other CMS platforms, with hands-on experience in website development and customization.
• Strong HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery skills for front-end development.
• Experience with graphic design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Sketch.
• Familiarity with web hosting platforms and server configurations.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and a passion for creating exceptional web experiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or related field.
• Previous experience working in a web development agency or web hosting firm is added advantage.
• Knowledge of PHP programming and database management.
• Experience with e-commerce platforms (e.g., WooCommerce, Shopify).
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
