Production Senior Engineer at Elsewedy Electric

To ensure technical execution and direct operations of all production processes of the low voltage (LV) section within the cable manufacturing facility. Serving as the technical lead for LV cable production, ensuring output quality, process efficiency, and compliance with international standards. Maintain continuity while driving continuous improvement across all LV production lines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily production activities for low voltage cable lines.
• Develop and manage production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and plant capacity targets.
• Monitor production KPIs including output volume, line efficiency, scrap rate, and on-time delivery.
• Coordinate with the Planning departments to align raw material availability with production schedules.
• Oversee and optimize core LV cable manufacturing processes including wire drawing, stranding, insulation extrusion, armoring, sheathing, and drum-up.
• Develop, review, and update (SOPs) and process control documents for LV cable lines.
• Lead process improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives to reduce waste, cycle time, and production costs.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring production defects and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Ensure all LV cable products conform to applicable standards and customer-specific specifications.
• Collaborate closely with the Quality Control team on in-process inspections, electrical testing (conductor and insulation resistance, voltage withstand), and final product release.
• Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs) and lead resolution of customer quality complaints related to LV production.
• Maintain compliance with ISO 9001 quality management requirements on the production floor.
• Identify equipment breakdowns and coordinate rapid corrective maintenance to minimize production downtime.
• Supervise, mentor, and guide a team of production operators, technicians, and engineers on the LV production floor.
• Conduct performance appraisals and identify training needs for team members.
• Foster a culture of accountability, discipline, and continuous improvement within the production team.
• Serve as the technical escalation point for all LV-related production and process challenges.
• Conduct or participate in risk assessments, safety audits, toolbox talks, and accident investigations.
• Prepare, maintain and submit daily, weekly, and monthly production and shift reports to Production team lead.
• Any other duty assigned by your supervisor.

Requirements:

-4 years in manufacturing environment with at least 3 years in cable manufacturing.

-Demonstrated hands-on experience specifically in low voltage cable production processes.

-Prior experience in a senior or lead engineering role with supervisory responsibilities.

-Experience working with international cable standards is an added advantage.
