Job Description
Jaza is working to power Sub-Saharan Africa. We build solar-powered shops which charge batteries customers use to power their homes. Since 2022, we’ve achieved over 4 million battery swaps, providing approximately 225,000 people access to clean, affordable energy.
We employ women from each community (known as Jaza Stars) to run the service, empowering our team to become leaders, entrepreneurs and drivers of economic growth within their communities. For more information on what we are building, check out www.jazaenergy.com and watch the video the BBC made about Jaza here.
Position Overview
As our Talent Acquisition and Onboarding Partner, you’ll be at the heart of Jaza’s growth: identifying, attracting, and hiring exceptional talent that will accelerate our mission. In this role, you will be a critical team member helping us recruit our very first staff in new markets across Africa, navigating both English and French-speaking regions. You’ll work closely with hiring managers, build strong pipelines ahead of need, and deliver a consistently positive candidate experience from first contact to final offer.
You will also lead a thorough pre-onboarding and onboarding process to ensure every new hire transitions smoothly and is set up for success from day one. This role offers you the chance to shape not just who we hire, but how we hire; bringing structure, data, and values into every decision.
