The Digital Reporter is responsible for creating, curating, and delivering high-quality, engaging, and timely news content across digital platforms.

Main Responsibilities:

• Content Creation: Produce accurate, clear, and engaging news articles, videos, and multimedia content for The Citizen’s digital platforms, including the website and social media.
• Breaking News Coverage: Monitor and report on breaking news events, ensuring timely updates and comprehensive coverage.
• Digital Publishing: Manage and update content on the website and social media platforms using content management systems and scheduling tools.
• Research & Reporting: Conduct thorough research, interviews, and fact-checking to ensure the credibility and accuracy of all content.
• Audience Engagement: Interact with readers and followers on social media, fostering community engagement and increasing audience reach.
• Collaboration: Work closely with editors, photographers, videographers, and designers to produce cohesive stories.
• Analytics and Performance Tracking: Analyze web traffic and engagement metrics using tools like Google Analytics or similar platforms.
• Use data insights to refine content strategy and improve reach and impact.
• Coordinate with social media and marketing teams to amplify content reach.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

• Academic: Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
• Experience: 2-3 years of working experience in digital content creation and reporting.
