Description

Key responsibilities:

1. Develop Roles and Responsibilities for CRM and Pickling line staff.
2. Ensure production of Highest Quality Products.
3. Monitor Production Programmes and take Corrective action as necessary.
4. Match Material and Human Resources to achieve Production targets.
5. Support Maintenance Programmes to ensure equipment availability.
6. Developing a strong working relationship with Production team and Maintenance team to ensure good communication and understanding of plant issues.
7. Developing of Standardised work considering built in quality.
8. Controlling Key Performance Indicators at CRM and Pickling as per budget.
9. Development and modifications for Process Improvement.Ensure that safety policies and procedures are consistently followed to comply with Occupational, Health and Safety regulations
10. Provide Technical support for daily production activities.
11. Actively participate in problem solving for safety, productivity and quality improvement.
12. Champion SAP at CRM and Pickling line and maintain a central database to monitor stock movement.
13. Preparation of Weekly and Monthly Management Reports – Technical, and Performance reports for Pickling Line and CRM.
14. Setting Targets for Engineers, Monitoring Performance and Evaluation.
15. Coordinate 5 K activities, Autonomous Maintenance Projects at Pickling line and CRM.
16. Maintaining and improving ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 systems at CRM and Pickling line.
17. Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities and Process improvements by working closely with Engineers and Quality Department.
18. Maintaining a Motivated workforce.
19. Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum academic qualification : University education with a degree in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering or equivalent qualifications. 
Qualifications as an added advantage : Masters of Business Administration Degree, Experience in Kaizen Practices  (Kaizen Practitioner), ISO 14001/9001/oshas18001 lead auditor
Professional registration: Registered Professional Engineer (ERB)

Experience required:
General work experience (years): 10-15 years
Specific to the position (level/discipline/years): Minimum 5-7 years experience in Cold Rolling Operations, 2 of these years must be at the management level and 2 years experience at the Pickling line.
Industry: Steel Mill / Cold Rolling Mill Complex
