Job Description
The Procurement officer is to ensure that an organization has a reliable supply of goods and services needed for its operations, while achieving the best possible value and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.
Job Responsibilities:
- Sourcing and purchasing based on quality , cost etc.
- Identifying and evaluating potential suppliers
- Analysing market trends to make cost effective purchasing decisions
- Manage relationships with suppliers to ensure steady supply
- Vendor relations, building and maintaining relationships with suppliers
- Preparing and managing budget related to procurement
- Maintain the records of purchases , pricing and others.
Skills
- Negotiation: Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with suppliers.
- Analytical: Ability to analyze market trends and supplier performance.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective negotiation and relationship management.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to address any procurement-related issues.
- Organizational: Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous in ensuring accuracy and compliance in all procurement activities
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Procurement or supply chain management.
- Experience: At least 3 years of work experience in Procurement Management
- Skills: Professional integrity, problem-solving, conscientious record keeping, attention to detail, task prioritization, and time management.
