Role Description
The Sales Representative – 3 Wheeler is a contract, on-site role based in Dodoma. The person in this role will use a three-wheeler vehicle to visit retail outlets, wholesalers, and other customers to sell CCIL products, increase product visibility, and achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets. Responsibilities include planning sales routes, ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining proper stock levels on the vehicle, and collecting payments in line with company procedures. The role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, gathering market feedback, reporting competitor activities, and providing regular sales and inventory updates to the supervisor. The Sales Representative will also ensure that the three-wheeler is kept in good condition, adheres to safety and traffic regulations, and represents CCIL’s brands professionally in all interactions.
Qualifications
- Strong sales, negotiation, and customer relationship skills, with the ability to meet set targets and manage a designated territory.
- Basic understanding of merchandising, route planning, and trade marketing activities at retail and wholesale outlets.
- Valid driving/riding license for three-wheeler vehicles and proven ability to operate and maintain the vehicle safely.
- Good communication skills in English and relevant local languages, with the ability to record and report sales data accurately.
- Minimum secondary school education; vocational training or certification in sales, marketing, or distribution is an advantage.
- Previous experience in FMCG or consumer product sales, particularly in oral-care, cosmetics, or food categories, is preferred.
- Ability to work independently, demonstrate reliability and integrity, and be comfortable with field-based, outdoor work.
